Elm Creek 345 KV Switching Station

Elm Creek 345 KV Switching Station

Oct 26, 2021

M&S Engineering provided design, material procurement, and project management services for extending the station by 300 feet to accommodate the extension of the 345 kV bus to add two 60 MVAR reactor banks. Phase 1 of this project is complete with the addition of one 60 MVAR reactor bank and one 345 kV IPO breaker, as well as the associated relaying.

Since founding the company, Brian has managed decision making by using common sense and moving in the direction that provides the least complex solution, and operating in a relatively flat, non-hierarchical structure. We have an “operate small, act big” mentality. It’s a part of our DNA as a company. Bulverde Wastewater Treatment Plant

M&S Engineering provided structural design for cast in place clarifiers, aeration basins, concrete headworks, a laboratory, and a chemical building with porch for the 4S Ranch development in Bulverde.  M&S also provided construction support through the various stages of the project.  It is rare for our Structural design team to get called back when a project is near construction completion.  We were thrilled to visit this project site a few times over the winter, view the project, and see it come to fruition.  Our team truly enjoys these types of projects; the design is always interesting and unique, and addressing the nuances during the design phase is a great experience.
