Upper Woodlawn Drainage Improvements

This project consisted of the structural design of a series of unique extra large, cast-in-place box culverts; including a curved segment of a 12-foot by 12-foot box.
Our structural team also designed twin boxes that began as a 14-foot by 12-foot section that tapered in both directions to match the existing arched culverts. These twin culverts also sloped steeply and included a steel grate at the top end to catch debris.

The plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) included the engineering design of the connection to the existing arch shaped culverts, and two direct traffic 12-foot by 12-foot culverts with railings.
