Capital Improvement Projects – Karnes Electric Co-op

M&S Engineering’s electric distribution division has been working on several system improvement projects with the Karnes Electric Cooperative. One of these projects involves removing aged hard drawn copper conductor and replacing with 1/0 aluminum core, steel reinforced (ACSR) conductor. As part of the project, M&S team members spent time working with cooperative members to relocate the lines from open pastures to dedicated easements along roadways. These upgrades will provide more reliable power delivery for KEC and assist co-op crews with faster response times to outages.
