Client Spotlight: Bergheim Substation in Bergheim, TX

Pedernales Electric Cooperative is experiencing load growth in their service territory west of the Bulverde area, near the Hwy. 46/Blanco Rd. intersection.  With this comes the need for a substation expansion to help serve those PEC members.  M&S Engineering designed the addition of a single breaker bay to the 138 kV bus at Bergheim Substation near Bergheim, Texas.  The new bay includes a 138 kV circuit switcher and a 46 MVA, 138 kV to 25 kV power transformer.  The distribution side of the transformer will include a 25kV total breaker, tie breaker, and four feeder breakers.
