New Braunfels Christian Academy

M&S Engineering completed the engineering design and construction phase services for a concrete foundation design for a new 20,000 SF gym and athletic facility building which consolidated administrative office space, storage areas, boys and girls bathrooms, showers and locker rooms in addition to a regulation size basketball court.
Our team coordinated the pre-engineered superstructure, geotechnical study and architectural plans. The services provided included site reconnaissance, geotechnical coordination, super structure loading evaluation, analysis and detailed design of the foundation, design coordination with the architect, construction document preparation, pre-pour inspection and final certification.

Our teams provided plans and specs sufficient to obtain a building permit and construct the foundation for the pre-engineered metal building and performed site visit quality control. Due to the site slope the project required the building of a control compacted base pad in order to achieve the civil grading requirements. In addition the large bath/shower areas required a careful notation for floor drains and drain slopes.
